New A/v receiver not working correctly,please help

Yamaha rx v673
Problem:cant get music to play in zone 2
How its setup:
Hdmi labled "out" to tv
Hdmi 1 Labled "dvd" to blueray
Hdmi 2 to cable box
outdoor speaker wires to zone 2 clips

The mains work fine with tv and music, hooked up to my computer (pandora)The wire from the computer goes to AV 5.Music works fine using AV 5,tv with mains work fine using Hdmi 2
I called yamaha support,they couldnt figure it out.I have it set to 7ch 1 zone.How it apparently should be. with zone 2 on I can hear the tv in zone 2.I bought the receiver from a a/V install guy(new unopened box)He said somethings wrong because you should never here the tv on zone 2,the receiver is not designed to do that.Anybody have any idea what going on,or how to correct it.

Nevermind Zone 2 speakers were set to off HAHA.But in my defence I called yamaha tech support and the guy failed to mention that while trouble shooting.Actually he said I had a defective unit and to return it.So much for "support"

Could it be that zone two only allows analog inputs ? This seems to be a common limitation with using zone 2 on many receivers.
