Netflix popups with every click?

What the hell is this all about? Every time I click any link on Audiohaulics I get a new Netflix popup!

Let me know when you stop this, and then perhaps I'll come back.

What browser are you using?

Most allow custom settings for various sites.

For audioholics I have popups removed (default on my browser) without prompting (so, it won't ask, it just doesn't show the popups, normally the browser will ask), and I have scripting disabled, because those green links that show up in the middle of peoples text drives me crazy.

I think there are also plugins that remove advertisements altogether, I haven't sifted around for those though.

Sites like demonoid and youporn have less intrusive advertising than audioholics.

In Internet Explorer, click Tools > Internet Options and then the Security tab. Then select Restricted Sites and add Audioholics (if your on the page, you can just click add). The only thing you should remove from the setup for Restricted Sites is disabling cookies, because you probably want to auto-login.

LOL. I am sure you know that purely from a research perspective...

I'm using Safari on my Mac. I have it set to block all popups. So this crap is doing something to circumvent my settings. This is totally unacceptable.

I have better things to do than close Netflix windows all day long. I'm done here.

I'm not quite ready to jump ship or threaten to. However it is really annoying. I'm only getting it when I change pages, my popup blocker catches everything else. It does seem a bit overkill on the advertising.

Gene - perhaps you could have it toned down a bit, I don't need to see the same ad open in a new window 15 times on my visit here.

Every business model on the internet and TV for that matter is based on advertising so it should not be a big surprise.

Non-movie channels are unwatchable. During any show there is a graphic somewhere, always advertising what comes next (and sometimes two weeks from now). It is out way out of control. I will watch a movie I've seen dozens of times just to avoid channels that obscure the actual content with worthless ads.

It's just like radio...you absolutely cannot listen to the radio for any length of time because you hear the same five commercials over and over and over. The typical cadence on TV is 5-7 minutes of show, followed by 3-4 minutes of commercial. At least on Audioholics it's only once in awhile.

MDS, I agree fully with you about advertising, which is already plastered all over the top, bottom and right side of each page, plus comes up in a window if your cursor happens to pass over any of several key words in each thread. I think having a popup window for anything you intentionally click, that includes the links to view a thread and go to the next page, is going too far. I also think, or prefer to think, it was likely a programming fluke. Regardless, apparantly it has stopped. On this visit back I haven't recieved any of the aforementioned ads.

Gene, thanks for fixing that.

I spoke too soon, just came to post about Watchmen and am getting annoying Netflix popups. I'm seriously starting to dislike Netflix, as it's their name on the stuff that's harassing me.

I use Mozilla Firefox with the add on Ad Block plus. I never see a pop up ever, not on this site or any other. It works perfectly. I guarantee that will stop your annoyance.

Yeah the netflix popups are really bad with both safari and firefox using the built in popup blockers. They pop up with every click. I just send apple a bug report. It is annoying to have that many.
