Need cables for older Kenwood remote system

I have a Kenwood receiver, model KR-A5010. I have misplaced some of the cables that plug into the various components to run the "system control." They plug into small green colored holes in each component.

Can these be replaced with standard cables that have one-eighth inch jacks on each end, or are they special cables? Kenwood support notes 3-5 business days for response and it looks like they are "living up" to that ...

Dunno about Kenwood, but...

NAD uses simply RCA plugs with only the center wire used. FWIW, standard shielded RCA's work just as well.

Likewise, Pioneer used (at least in the early 90's) a similar situation whereby they used what appeared to be 1/8" mini plugs in a similar fashion.

I feel it's a safe bet that you could try using standard cables.

Sounds like the 'RI' feature that Onkyo uses. A standard 1/8" mini mono cable works just fine. I'd bet the standard cable would work fine for the pioneer too.
