My phone sounds better than my Integra 7.8 receiver?

Hi All,
is that possible? My new Samsung Galaxy S4 has a presence and clarity that sounds better than the Burr-Brown DAC in my Integra receiver via the headphone amp...am I crazy? Is the degradation in the headphone section of the amp? The phone can't have a better DAC than the higH-end ?urr-brown, right?

Both were listened through B&W earbuds...

"Better" is a relative term. It may be that your phone has peaks or dips in just the right places that scratches your itch.
