Looks like you have just a little bit of work to do before you're done. Good luck with the install.

So Mr. Sub Freak, what kind of other speakers are going into these HT systems?

HT#1 (this one)

is gonna get Monitor Audio RS series speakers ... most likely:
RS6 fronts
RS LCR center
RS FX surround backs and surrounds

Equipment:
latest Yamaha receiver ... could be Rx-v2700, could be 2800 by then :)
Rotel RMB1075 multichannel amp
1000U panny projector
I don't know about the screen brand yet ... shooting for as big as possible 100+"

p.s. I'm gonna have to use my Infinity BETAs for my dedicated HT#2 ... but I'll make up for it in the subwoofer department. :)

thanks guys ... I'm excited myself. invites are free, plane tickets are not :)

this is in the basement because this time there are ash hole neighbors.

the whole house is under construction, as you can see, the material of choice here is CONCRETE and lots of it. I'll probably be staying in this house 2 days 1 night a week when it is finished. The rest of the week, I'll be in dedicated HT#2 :)

first item I have ordered for HT#1 is the Velodyne SMS-1
(I ordered one for HT#2 as well - figure I'll use this to EQ the new Ultra) so i have two units coming :)

no, I've seen your pics :) they look fine to me.

while these are indeed very rough ... and hard to breathe in there (I don't really use masks)

If I was lucky enough to have a dedicated space, in wall speakers would be a last resort. Nothing beats the sound of a well built speaker floor stander.

oh the front HT speakers are floorstanders, those are nice looking walnut colored wood veneers.

but if you've seen the karaoke speakers I'm installing, you'd want them hidden as well :)
