Mic Placement

My man cave is my master bedroom. I am the only one using it so I only have one listening position to calibrate. Would it be better to be stingy and calibrate, say in an 8" box or spread out the 8 mic placements? TIA

We have a system in our bedroom too. I calibrated from where I expected our heads to be, normally. For the times when they are on the ceiling, upside down, or in the 'swing, you probably aren't too concerned with acoustics
