I'm all excited about building a super high end media server. I was going to get the Elite Blu-ray, but figured it I'd rather invest that money in a higher end Media Server since I wanted to do audo through one anyway. My question is... considering that differences in performance between standalone players... some are clearly better than others... how do you know or how do you ensure that in your build, you're getting the best results or at least the equivalant of a highly regarded standalone player? My plan is to invest about $1.5 - $3K in a server.
