Marantz 5004/5005 or Denon 1911 pair with PSB Image Speakers

Which is the best AVR to pair with the PSB Image series speakers? I'm looking for the balance between music listening and as well as movies.

Any receiver you listed will do. In fact its the speakers, not the receiver that determines the sound. The receivers will all sound the same until you really push the receivers. Matter of fact, your ears begin bleeding first as the Image series is quite efficient and it doesn't take alot of power to make them sing loud.Its more about feature sets of the receivers, build quality, and reputation of the receivers that will you ultimately choose the receiver for you.

Both are good receivers, have similar features, and even have the same parent company. The one you can get for a lower cost is what you should get IMO.

I thought many peoples are saying the Marantz's sound are more towards musicality while the Denon is more towards movies with lots of punch???

Marantz is having problem applying Audyssey EQ while decoding lossless codec, how about Denon? Is Denon having the same issue as well ?
