Pretty sure that guy is connecting tow hooks... it's probably the dude who has to tug it out of there.

If it is the driver, I gotta commend the guy on having relatively clean pants, though. If I wrecked my million-dollar car, I'd probably also have ruined my shorts.

Since that car is probably completely sealed under there for aerodynamics, I have no frickin' idea where he can connect to and that's probably why he looks confused.

Good call. That would explain the cable wrapped around his foot.

If you watch the video of them towing it out of the lagoon, you can see that he had to wrap the chains through the rear wheels. Generally not a location you would normally see used, but the Veyron is not expected to be driven into a body of water either.
