Low frequency subwoofer

Hi, I need help recording low frequency waves(Bass) and I read online that it possible to record low frequency with a Subwoofer, but I don't know how. Can someone plz help me learn to record low frequency waves.

What he said. To use a sub, you have to already have a source, like a receiver that supplies sound from a CD/Bluray/TV/etc.
