Looking for bookshelf speakers around 300$ range

I found a S30 review with good pics of the internals and the S30 DM mod thread on here. Ha! The small speaker that could! Good for near field and small room duty. Probably best if crossed over to a sub at 100Hz. I'm putting these on my list of speakers to listen.

For reference, here are some measurements on the 2030p and measurements on 2031p.

The S30 does real good job on the door-knock test > and they
did a real good job on the port tuning.

I know about the other measurements.
I already have the Zaph Audio measurements of the 2031p.

I'm looking at an S10.3 right now actually, I can get a new factory refurb with warranty for 300$. Should I go for that?

S10.3 used be sold for $200 NEW on newegg
To be honest they are pretty close in performance, but with hsu you get 7 year warranty on woofer and 2 year on amp

+1 for the Cambridge S30. I have owned the S30, SL30 and S20, and I must say it can easily compete with speakers 2 times the price to $500 range.

Very clean bass, and pleasant sounding. Clear and not too bright.
