Lightweight receivers....

Anyone know whats going on with newer light weight receivers from Yamaha.....(see attached). The supposed replacement of the RX V663 is only 18.7 lbs while the bottom end Denon is 24lbs...Could the Yamaha be using cheap light weight power supplies like Sony's entry models? Or, has there been some breakthrough allowing them to cut the weight without a correponding cut in quality? I posted before on the Denon which is ony $169 at my local Costco......

Yeah, thanks...I posted on that thread. But it got off point to an extent and danced around the issue. It would be nice if someone with some good inside technical knowledge could address how compromised these lightweight models are from a function standpoint and/or if there is new technology allowing them to lighten up without prejudice to fuction or reliability.
