I bought a 720P LG 60PC1D 60" plasma back in 2007 and it appears to have died over the weekend. I went to turn on the unit and the led flashes red a few times and then went to white and no image. Then, when you turn it off, it is completely unresponsive for a good 5 seconds before powering off. I am assuming it is a board but I am wondering if it's worth taking it to a shop to have it looked at.
I paid just over $3k for it back in 2007 after taxes and 3 yr warranty so it's a shame just to chalk it up as a total loss.
I have been eyeballing a Sharp AQUOS LC70LE732U 70" LED for a couple months as a replacement and was going to sell my 60" on craigslist but this kinda threw a wrench in the works.
Ideas? Suggestions?
