klipsch rf-82 vs. monitor audio silver 8 speakers?

does anyone know if these 2 speakers are even in the same league..? I am trying really hard to find a pair of speakers for music listening only . I have around $1500 to spend....any solid advise would be greatly appreciated....has anyone heard the polk rti-a9's..?

I think the Silver 8s are much better speakers but won't play as loud.

If the RF82s are anything like my RF62IIs, they are awesome for movies and TV, but too colored for music, at least with acoustic instruments. I've never heard Monitor Audio speakers before.

Why are these your two primary choices?

I should add that I have only heard the Bronze that sounded very good so I assume, may be I shouldn't that the Silvers will automatically be better as they cost quite a bit more and has better published specs. I have only heard various Klipsch at Bestbuy kind of places, they sounded bad relative to the Energy RCs side by side. I thought even the Polks RTi there were easier to my ears.
