The TV market is loaded with super thin LED TVs, but almost every TV on the market lacks quality speakers. JVC hopes to tackle that problem with their new JLE55SP4000 55" BlackSapphire 3D LED TV. It sports all of the typical features such as built-in WiFi, Qwerty remote, internet apps, passive 3D, and 120Hz refresh rate. What really sets it apart is a competitive asking price of $1299 and a focus on sound quality. Initially we were pretty excited when we heard about JVC offering a TV with an emphasis on sound, unfortunately it looks like they came up short. Back firing speakers and the lack of an external subwoofer prevent this TV from being able to replace an external sound system, but we are sure it will outperform most TVs in regard to sound quality. We hope that JVC can start to make it back into the flat panel market with the Blacksapphire line and that future generations will continue to improve on sound quality.
