A friend of mine has been looking for new in-ceiling speakers for a store he is opening next month. He is mainly interested on getting speakers capable of playing from medium to high volume and they also have to be white to match the ceiling. So, as a JBL fan, I suggested their SP6CSII which is a 100-watt, 6-1/2" dual two-way in-ceiling speaker with those two characteristics.

Also, in-ceiling loudspeakers save floor and shelf space and are ideal for music systems in stores (which is his case) and are also suitable for upgrading a 5.1-channel home theater to 7.1 without the need to make additional cutouts.

The SP6CSII features a titanium-laminate, low-frequency woofer with rubber surround which handles the lower frequencies while dual 3/4-inch titanium-laminate tweeters are in charge of producing the higher frequencies. This speaker incorporates JBL's Proprietary Elliptical Oblate Spheroidal™ (EOS) waveguide technology that helps the SP6CSII distribute sound evenly and smoothly throughout the listening area. The tweeter swivel-mounts let you direct high frequencies exactly where you want them. What do you think?
