at all.

i had two DLS-5000R's (older version, same hardware, different bells and whistles) and with both running, i kept checking if i had them turned on or not.

Unfortunately AV Talk's subwoofer tests are no longer available (at least all the images that contain the actual data aren't...). They benched a (fairly similar in specification and appearance) CHT-15, and the results IIRC weren't too far off from what Josh Ricci got in his review of the EQ-Max-15, ie considerable output from 40Hz on up, but really running out of steam around 32Hz, with negligible output by 20Hz. Conversely, the PB12-NSD delivers reasonably flat output down to 20Hz, even at the limits. Unless this particular model breaks that trend (not something I'd count on sans data), the PB12 will probably deliver a significantly more tactile HT experience.

For reference, the EQ-Max 15
