I had this little guy keep me company during breakfast. Its a Purple Martin, one of my most favourite birds to watch. I took the picture with my iphone thru a patio door and screen.

I never realized they range that far north. Seen plenty of them in the deep south USA. Pretty common to see people down here that have put up "Martin Houses" specifically to encourage their nesting.
