I'm considering purchasing a receiver that is future proof to some extent- atleast for next 3 yrs. In that regards, I found that that the Denon 4806ci has quite a lot of bells and whistles for the audio enthusist. Looking at the spec., I see that it has an ethernet port that can be connected to a router and use to stream music from the internet or PC. Question: can we also stream video content from the internet and route the signal to a display connected to the receiver HDMI/component/etc connectors ?
It seems that if that if you already have an IP stack built into the receiver, and also a bunch of decoders, we should be able to do this.
Has anyone tried this out ? Is there a receiver out there that does this ?
