Found out about Hoopla at my library. It's working pretty well on desktop pc. I haven't tried the mobile version but my wife has and likes it.

Cool! I'll have to see whether my local library participates. There's another similar service just for music called Freegal, but my county library doesn't participate. The municipal library does, but I haven't gotten around to acquiring a membership with them yet.
