The only reason they're not opened up is that I don't have access to them. They're somewhere in storage and I'll have them just before the July 4th weekend. The KEF and TAD are just to tide me over :) J/K.

I think a speaker upgrade is most likely going to give you the most bang for the buck. Be careful what you wish for when looking to make your system "brighter". That could get very annoying very fast. With such a small budget used is a good way to go. Good luck!

The bigger room will be better served by the CMT340. They are considerably more efficient and due to the MTM design have higher power handling. The Sierra 1 may sound better when both are being played at comfortable levels, but, if pushed beyond their capability will sound worse than the CMT340 playing at or under their capability.
