This is probably the most novice question you'll hear in these forums but ...

I have a Yamaha rx-v465 receiver.

I like my sound to be one way for when I listen to music in 2ch mode or All speakers, and I need sound to be different for when I watch movies.

For music, sound to be more flat, maybe even tone down on the high frequency and for movies add a bit more of high frequencies for voice, especially center channel.

Can my receiver have a memory preset???
If not my, are there receivers that have this function???

thank you

Your Yamaha has "scene" functionality. You should be able to set up a number of different modes or scenes as Yamaha calls them for one touch selection based on your preference for an input source. Those scenes are also associated with a source type so for exapmle, scene one would know you were switching to FM broadcast for example and go into 2 channel stereo mode with a specific EQ setup. If you need detailed help with scenes the owners manual SHOULD more fuly explain how to set them up and use them.
