HDMI Confusion

Finally decided to step up to the modern world... at least part way

I have two sets of HDMI cables that came with my Tivo Series 3.

Samsung 650 & Samsung 1500 coming.

Can I use the supplied HDMI cables to feed the TV from the Tivo and DVD?

I'll still have to get another fiber cable to feed my receiver from the DVD

Hi. I can't think of any reason why you couldn't connect the Tivo and Blu-ray player to the Samsung 650 using HDMI cables. You should be good to go.

Which receiver do you have? In case you don't know, optical can't carry the new lossless codecs - you need HDMI for that. So, if you wanted to hear those, you'd want to connect an HDMI cable to your receiver - if your receiver has HDMI inputs and can process audio over HDMI.
