I have some TV shows in the form of Divx files which I was able to play on my Oppo 971H dvd player until I loaded the Sept. 22 firmware upgrade. After the upgrade the sound on the Tv shows is bad. The dialog is barely audible. The sound is stereo and was recorded in mpeg-1 audio. The programs played just fine before the upgrade. Has anybody else had this problem? I contacted Oppo's customer service but they told me I was the first one to report this problem.
The only files to be affected are Divx files recorded in plain 2 channel stereo.
Has anybody had any other problems with the new firmware? I would appreciate any help and advice. I'm not sure I can count on Oppo's much-heralded customer service.
