I am looking to "enhance" the sound of my plasma in the bedroom, I like the soundbar + wireless sub idea but after researching a few sound bars they require you to have a external source...

are there any that don't need that? that somehow will hook to the TV only?

for reference I am using a Panny G10

Z-vox has a few models that might interest you. On a cheaper price range, Vizio has a soundbar + wireless sub for about $140 at Walmart, or a soundbar alone for about $80 (to which you can hook up a WIRED sub). I'm sure there are plenty more, but here's a start, and something you can pick up quickly from the store.

zvox

I'm a big fan of the zvox. I have the 325 (which is around $250) that I use in my work office for music. It is excellent for music. If I were going to get one for a TV, I would get one of the models with digital inputs that are designed to sit directly underneath the TV.
