I tend to listen in the highest format available on the film. If it is stereo, then that is what I listen to; generally most films that I watch are 5.1 and that is all I have my system configured for currently.

I listen however it was mixed. Dark Knight 5.1, WallE 6.1, Rambo 7.1. All discreet.

I listen in 5.1. That is until a couple of weeks ago when I involuntarily had to
resort to 5.0 due to the loss of my sub.
On the prowl for the low end now.

I listen to Stereo as I can't afford surround yet!

I use the format that was used to produce the original movie. My main system has a killer two channel stereo, but if the soundtrack was recorded in 5.1 I will use that.

Listen in stereo at the moment due to necessity, not choice...more than willing to go 5.1! :D Or 7.1, room permitting.

5.1 here, most people's living rooms aren't made for 7.1 unfortunately...

We listen mostly in 7.1(2) DSP...with 5.1(2) M/C on occasion.

I listen to most movies in 5.1 as well, I won't be making the 7.1 leap for a few years at least. I prefer stereo for music to any sort of PLII or the like.

5.1 for movies & TV
5.1 or 2.0 for music depending on what's on.
