Energy RVSSs or C-R100s?

I have a chance to get the RVSSs (a pair) for about $150 Cdn or the C-R100s are $200 each (so $400 Cdn), and I'm looking for a decent budget system would the pair of RVSSs be good for l/r sides and I would get a pair of C-100s for rears in a 7.1 system?

What speakers are these going to be paired with? And what surround speaker type? Rear Surround or Side Surround?

The center is a RVS and the mains are old Yamaha speakers that will eventually get replaced to something that I don't know yet. The RVSSs would be Side surround and I would look into getting a pair of c-100s for rear surrounds (not c-r100s).

I would not mix up the surrounds. Get CR100s if you want C100s for surround backs.
