DIY Cedar Post Speaker Stands

Hi All,

I've gotta share these great stands I built for only 60$! Well, plus sandpaper and clear varathane I guess. :D

They are made from a single 8' 6"x6" Cedar post cut into 2 lengths. The Remainder was cut into cubes to make the bases. They are glued together using PL Premium and them Lag bolted and Glued to the uprights. The feet are simple felt pads for furniture, spikes weren't an option with the floors. They are very stable and won't tip easily.

They are more rustic and bulky looking than an ordinary speaker stand. WAF was a major factor in their design as typical speaker stands look too much like speaker stands..... go figure.

They stand 70cm tall and weigh about 25lbs each I'd guess. Sorry for the pic quality. Time for new camera.
