Interconnects and signals isn't something I'm terribly familiar with, but I'm curious how others have their systems setup. I currently have my Oppo 980H hooked to my LMC-1 using digital coaxial to the Aux 1 and the analog out to the 7.1 inputs. This is the suggested way according to Emotiva as it allows the video to track from Aux 1 even though you switch to 7.1 mode. It also allows SACD and DVD-A content to play over the analog connections since the LMC-1 doesn't have audio over HDMI. I'm curious if anyone knows if the LMC-1 or the Oppo 980H has the superior audio DAC. I can't tell any real differences other than the bass seems a bit more present when listening through the digital coaxial. Ultimately all that matters is it sounds fine to me, but I'm simply curious what others' experiences are.
