Denon AVR-790 wont let subwoofer play?

since you bought it from best buy, can you have someone from geek squad come out and see if they can do it? there's not much we can do from here without being able to go through every menu to find the problem.

i unplugged my fiberoptic sound and did the left and right rca from the blu ray to the back of the sub. no sound at all. but also the constant buzzing stopped. but the sound is still coming through the receiver due to the hdmi cord transferring the sound through the receiver.

The sound was still going through hdmi, not the analog outs. at least thats what he made it sound like.

Most all players will ouput via digital and analog (ps3 excluded). I think we have done all we can on the "internet" troubleshooting department. (with the exception of a failed auto sensor )
