agarwalro Audioholic Ninja Apr 16, 2014 #2 D&M and Denon USA probably know... Sorry couldn't help myself .
Lulimet Full Audioholic Apr 16, 2014 #3 D&M usually releases Denon models in June and the Marantz models a month or two after.
Kruz Audioholic Apr 17, 2014 #4 Also really curious about this. Hoping to see a price drop on the X4000 here in canada when the new line is released.

R Reorx Full Audioholic Apr 18, 2014 #5 Same here. I like the x4000. But can't see spending $900 when the next gen receivers are already coming out. I hate the fact that denon dropped all the preout's on their cheaper receovers. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

For some reasons Denon includes 7.1 preouts in their near European and Asian near entry levels only. That was a few years ago though. Marantz continues to include preouts in those lower priced models. So if one is going to use an external amp anyway, Marantz could be a lower cost alternative brand to consider.
