**Looking for computer hardware here**
My SB Live! does the job as of now but is very old. I had to tweak it like crazy to make it work with Vista. Now I need a Vista-compatible sound card that'll be compatible with Win7 (no drivers out as of now and never will be).
Setup is computer to integrated amp -- Mini to RCA; 2.1 speakers from there.
1. Card will be used for 95% music listening.
2. Number of channels doesn't matter. I only need 2. As long as there is an analog out with a decent SRN (in the ballpark of 103dB or higher)
3. Won't break the bank (<100$ if possible, lower is better)
are some of you still using analog out on your computer for your HTPC?!
