Many gamers had been looking forward to getting their hands on the Dark Souls Collectors Edition if you pre-ordered through Newegg or Best Buy then you are unfortunately out of luck. Newegg received zero copies and will be giving all those that did pre-order a $20 gift card for the their trouble. As for those of you that went the Best Buy route, your chances of getting a copy are better but not much Best Buy did receive copies as to how many that's unknown but not enough to cover all their pre-orders. Best Buy will be offering the same deal as Newegg if your store has ran out copies, Namco Bandai seriously underestimated the demand for DSCE.
If the whole pre-order mess wasn't enough to deal with many of those that were fortunate to receive a copy have been having issues accessing the additional content. Most of the complaints have been not having the ability to access the mini-guide which is 43 pages of the full version's 382 pages. Namco Bandai published an apology via
Facebook to those having issues downloading DSCE content.

One more issue that seems to be popping up is Multiplayer it appears that the lobby system doesn't work properly, entering Multiplayer with friends is next to impossible since your friends will end up on another server. This issue has been a hot topic on
