Connecting old EQ to more modern AV receiver

Basically I want to get these two units to work in harmony:

Here are the backs of the units. No surprises on the EQ. But, how to connect to the receiver? If I try to use the tape connections, it basically overrides whatever I'm currently listening to. My old receiver had a tape loop that worked as designed. Oh, and what does "MD" stand for? And, what is the Mix Audio out port for? FYI, this is a Sony STR-D665.

Thanks for any help you can provide!

You cannot connect it to that receiver as it lacks the proper connections. Very few receivers today have this capability anymore.

MD is minidisc, a recently discontinued product by Sony. Mix out I would guess is a mono output that everything is downmixed to in order to send to an older TV that only has a mono input.
Thanks for the feedback. It is as I feared. So, I'll stick to my old rig for using the EQ. It seems to have a better FM tuner in it anyway. Now to get my old Mach II woofers re-foamed....
