center speaker as a surround

i had an extra center speaker speaker so i hoked it up as the back surround and hoping to make it a 6.1...i have a denon avr x 2000 receiver and connected it the way the manual said to and also ran the audyssey to calibrate but still getting no sound from the speaker....how can i get this to work....thanks.....

Are you playing material that supports 6.1? Try changing your audio decoding format, the x2000 should have over 15 different ones, like dolby digital, dts, ect ect ect

yea i had to dig into the manual and see all what i can do ..and thats what it was thanks for the help....
