Can I pair PSB Imagine T/C with Definitive SR-8040BP

I recently purchased PSB Imagine Towers and Center and am wondering if I can pair them with Definitive SR-8040BP surrounds. I don't believe the PSB Imagine Surrounds are $1300 a pair!! Thanks.

I would look for surrounds that has bigger woofers.
If you are going to do a lot of surround music - then
I would stick with PSB.

I truly believe surround speakers are very unimportant.

I know my surrounds retail @ $6K/pr but I don't hear anything other than ambience sounds, which any DefTech speaker can do well.

Yes, sure, panning effects and yada, yada, yada, and 3D surround sound effects, and 7.1, 9.1, 11.2, yada, yada, yada.

Even on SACD & DVD-A, the surround speakers just create the ambience effects IMO.

Aesthetics and looks are important to me though. I have to match all my speakers. They have to look good.

So, yeah, matching PSB will look much better.

But I truly believe that surround speakers are just for ambience effects 99% of the time, and most speakers will do just fine.
