I've owned the Oppo 983 for about 6 or 7 years and it's stll going strong, a fantastic player that I use for everything but Blu Ray, including region 2 PAL dvds. I am, because of it's age, becoming a bit worried about it finally failing.
I also have an old Panasonic BD30 for my Blu Rays and it's been great except for the load times (which sometimes seem like hours.)
I'm looking for, if it's out there, a Blu Ray player that will, of course, play Blu Rays, SDDVDs, audio cds, SACDs, and region 2 PAL SDDVDs. I have many DVDs from the UK and multi-region is essential. On top of that I'd like the best unit available at a price of less than $300.
I could use some suggestions/recommendations.
Forgot to mention: I don't need streaming particularly since my Sony LCD handles that function quite well.
