Bathroom Audio System Questions

I'm a beginner, and in the remodel of my bathroom I'd like to set up some in-ceiling speakers for an audio system driven from my, my wife, or any guest's phone.
The ultimate goal would be to have a 3.5mm wall plate to plug into the phone / ipod, and a wall On/Off and Volume Control.

How to do this? I'm guessing I need an in-wall amp or an amplifier to mount into the vanity cabinet out of site, and also put an outlet in there for the power source?
Beyond that I could use some advice.

Maybe I'm searching google for the wrong keywords but I can't find an affordable solution for the volume control that would ALSO control the power of the amp, so we dont have to open the cabinet to power it on/off every time.

Are you using all the zones of your main system? If not, you could just run a spare zone into the bathroom and then use on of the million's of iphone wall docks.

Try this. Its two components. A wall mount dock, and an output plate. It uses a Cat5 cable to connect between them. Put the mount where you want it, then the output where you have the amp.
