i had a look at the hsu vtf-2 manual and it seems that its high level outs are not filtered. they offer some add-on modules that might provide this but i think in australia it will be impossible to get custom spec'd units.
i'm now thinking of something like this
universal player-->sub
-->amp-->speakers
it would mean i'd have to play with 2 dials each time i change the volume. but as i probably always listen at the same 2 or 3 setting it shouldnt be too much of a pain to ballance them if i put some marks on both the sub and the amps volume dial. what ya think?
