Bass management Frequency setting

Hi all!,

Ok, so I've got a frequency setting on my AVR as well as my Subwoofer, what do I set them to? My front left/right speakers are Yamaha NS-555 frequency Response 35hz-35khz
Cross over Frequency 1khz-4khz not sure if that means anything

And my subwoofer is the
YST-RSW300 frequency response is 20-160hz

My AVR IS a yamah RX-V477

The generally accepted settings are 80 Hz crossover on the AVR, with the sub crossover either turned off, or turned all the way up (160 Hz in your case).

So, which would be better either off or all the way up? Or just what sounds better off or all the way up?

On the subwoofer's front, set the 'High Cut' dial to full clockwise position, 'Volume' dial to 11 o clock. Then run auto calibration in receiver.
