Ryorn, if you've heard those B&W's and you like them, then you can't go wrong. 'Cause that's all it comes down to; what makes you happy. Now, with that said, at $250 for a used pair, if it were me, I'd look around a little. For instance, the new updated version of that speaker, the DM303, sells for $300/pr. So, for $50, you get a brand new speaker with warranty, etc. If you want to try some things out from the internet direct companies, that may also be a good idea. That way, you can listen to a couple, find what you like, and send back what you don't. AV123 is running a great intro price on their newest edition to their reference line, the REF .5 Monitor:

There aren't any reviews yet, but their ref line has a rep of being extremely good for music lovers.

Also, there's the Axiom M2's:

Those are only $280, so only $30 over what you're already spending for used speakers. Or, you could look at the Aperion Intimus 532:

http://www.aperionaudio.com/products/product-detail.aspx?id=4&catId=5&catName=Aperion+Speakers

Those will come out to $260/pr. With all of these, you have the benefit of trying 'em out in your own home and discover what you like, what suits you. If none work out, send 'em back.

If internet direct isn't your cup of tea, there are speakers out there that you could find in your price range. The Paradigm performance series comes to mind, but there are others. Also, if you're predisposed to being okay with buying used, let Audiogon be your friend. I'm sure if you poke around long enough, you could find a killer deal.

Hope that helps and good luck with your hunt. That's the fun part...listening to all you can to find something you like.

Totem is quite an expensive brand. I like how there speakers sound, but they will be more then 250.
