Atlanta area audiophiles are invited next Sunday, 5-22-11 from 2-5 pm to the May gathering of the Audio-Video Club of Atlanta. Fresh from the highly successful AXPONA high-end audio show held in downtown Atlanta last month, several new members will be joining us next Sunday.
On tap this month is member's choice listening session. Members bring in their favorite music for extended listening. We're featuring a PC-based laptop music server playing through a Wyred4Sound DAC, playing into a Cambridge Audio Azur 840A integrated amp. Backup Lexicon multiplayer can handle all formats.
Speakers/cables are the club's DIY 2-way audiophile bookshelf honoring the late Georgia Tech professor of electronics. Unveiled in March, we've made significant improvements to the overall quality/sound via port adjustments, upgraded crossover caps, and the DIY cables.
