I enjoy Massive Attack, PortiseHead, DJ Mark Farina Mushroom Jazz 1-5

FWIW(very little) I think that Tiesto is some of the worst no talent crap to ever become popular.

I highly recommend looking into the legendary and incredibly influential Mr. Bill Laswell.

To each their own :) I like his first album. The compilation stuff is pretty much neither here nor there, there's a billion DJs out there :D I have friends who are good at that...

Orbital is another interesting band, except they seemed to get worse as they went along, eventually becoming unlistenable to me. The Orb has their moments. Sigur Ros if you want ambient.

I very much like Morcheeba - this is the best way to learn about new music and support them by purchasing their music!

I second Shpongle. And entheogenic. Cant get better downtempo electro than Shpongle IMHO.

My second all-time favourite in this genre would be Hallucinogens' " In Dub". It's an album of downtempo dubified remixes of Hallucinogen full-on psytrance tracks, by a guy called Ott.

bom!

Hmmm... It's nice to know that there are others on this forum into the electronic soundscape. You might find the following entertaining. It's a subjectively factual guide to all the genres out there. Well, at least it kept me entertained when I first stumbled upon it.
