I just bought a 8" woofer to make a sub for my den (small room so there are size restraints) that has the following specs
fs=32 5 ohm
qms=1.899 Qts =.2585 zmax 36.512 Le .81mh
vas=2.44 qes=.298

Running some calculations I'm looking at .5617 cuft enclosure with a 2"dia x 4.28 length.
This gives me a -3dB of 61 dB

Does this sound right? The woofer is out of a NHT model ST-4 which has some very good reviews.
Right now I have a pair of JBL L-2050 in there that are OK but with only 6" woofers that loose a lot of bottom end. I am in the process of building some Dennis Murphy MB-20's I built a pervious pair and gave them away. They are very good. So good I'm making some for myself.
Comments please.
