7.1 garage music/HT rig question

Hey guys,

Been a long time since I've posted here, glad to be back.

I recently got a bug to assemble a decent sound system for my 30x40 workshop that will double as a HT room or outdoor movies and Football games. I have 90's vintage set of 4 Paradigm Monitor 5 V2's and a set of 4 of Monitor 3SE's as well.

To power these I have a stack of ADCOM GFA-535 II amps and my old faithful Onkyo TX-SR702 which will be used as a preamp. For Bass I am currently building a pair of 36 inch Bill Fitzmaurice folded horn (tuba) subs being powered by my older EP2500

On to my question: Being a 7.1(2) set up and having an Odd set of speakers.....where would you place each speaker in the 7.1 configuration? IE: which speakers used as Fronts, Center, SS and SSR's.

If more info is required, please let me know.

Thanks

I would go with 3 of the Monitor 5 across the front [l/c/r]

And use the 3SE as your surround and rear speakers.
