    Bryston BP-26DA Preamp

BRYSTON BP-26DA Preamp - $2895 Probably the quietest Preamp ever "not heard". All you hear is Blackness and Music emanating from the ether. This is a Silver Model 17" C-Series with the MPS-2 Power Supply to give you richness and bass that has to be heard. This one is very clean and looks...

    brystob3bsst2 or anthem statement a2

Hi Peng, Actually I like BOTH amps a lot, but my personal preference is the BRYSTON in its new "squared" versions. While specs are similar enough in both, in the systems I put together, I like the sound of the BRYSTONs. They seem equally as quiet (a biggy with me) if not quieter, and...

    brystob3bsst2 or anthem statement a2

Off topic, but if I remember correctly Dracul means the Dragon, and in legend the father of Dracula. On topic, as a dealer for both, I'd likely suggest the BRYSTON, but it depends on your budget, the level of listening expectations/expertise, and the rest of your system synergy.

    Dayton HPSA1000-R LFE input issue

Sounds like his PrePro or AVR has low voltage LFE output. Best bet is for either he or you to contact PE customer support, and they can explain.

    Never buy receivers from eCost

Quite often manufacturers receive back some items that have intermittent problems or problems they cannot reproduce easily. Ocassionally the actual problem is user error and nothing is wrong with the unit. They DON'T spend undo time trying to locate said problem. Instead these units are...

Made in America Amps, Receivers, Processors?

Of course they are. I haven't compared the CinePro PrePro since I am not a dealer, but they do appear similar. Could be they copy the already existing board, could be they by back panels prestamped by the same supplier, or could be they are OEM'd, or could be other. I don't know anyone...

Made in America Amps, Receivers, Processors?

That was the same answer I got from both parties each time I ask (and I asked a few times), but you never know. What I did know is that they are not the same amp or a simple rebadge. Didn't mean to rattle your cage, I was just trying to make sure someone was not misinformed. I have...

Made in America Amps, Receivers, Processors?

You can find pictures on the sites of both. You can also find all the performance stats. They are substantially different.

Made in America Amps, Receivers, Processors?

Not trying to give you a hard time but I was simply asking for a clarification of the ATI/Earthquake designation. I have sold and owned BOTH and they are not the same amps. Whether ATI "actually" manufactures them or not, is not relevant. One is not simply a rebadge of the other. The...

Made in America Amps, Receivers, Processors?

I am still not sure that answers the question. There is no such thing (that I am aware of)as an ATI/Earthquake AMP. There are only ATI and Earthquake amps. If you want to know who makes Earthquake amps call Joseph and ask him. I was simply wondering why you posted the names together...

Made in America Amps, Receivers, Processors?

Interesting. I have asked Morris and Joseph if they are made by ATI and both have said NO. The Dimensions, Weight, Performance, Topology, Operation, and Features are all different. A little review of those will show the differences. Aside a mild similarity in the appearance and that both...

??? I am an Earthquake and an ATI dealer and am confused by your post. What is an ATI/Earthquake?

    powered sub longevity

Hi Dave, Many of the early VMPS subs were designed more for Music and didn't have the excursion for HT use. It wasn't actually a design flaw, as it was the limits of intended use back then. Your sub and PR were designed well before LFE channels. The newer Passive Radiators now have...

    powered sub longevity

Pimping? While I am not sure what that might mean, the pics were accurate depictions of what the subs will look like. Using the TC Sounds Drivers and the new, high excursion "Big Bump" Passive Radiator works fine. As you mentioned VMPS is not after the BOOM box 135db market, but the new...

    9.2

Height speakers will be most valuable if your present speaker and the soundstage they create "lacks" the height you would like. On a whole, adding more speakers creates additional comb filtering potential and generally would negatively impact the best sonics.

    Oppo BDP-83se

If you have the OPPO BDP83SE, then you would use both the STEREO and 7.1 analog out to your AVR's analog inputs for the best "audio" in both movies and music. Use the HDMI for video only and if possible run it directly to your Monitor and not through the AVR unless you need the AVR's video...

Budget speakers to mount in a living room for music

Have good feedback on these from Parts Express, but at $50 you'll not be getting audiophile sound. If you don't like them for MUSIC, you can always use them for surrounds. They have "keyhole" wall mounting capability

    NHT vs Definitive Technology

Your installer "works for you" so if they won't let you select the gear then they are not 4u. However a good installer will bring experience and know how to the job. Listen to what they say, and see if they know their stuff. You sound a little new at this, and a good installer who...
