    His and Her Room!

Well, now that most of the His and Her Room is in daily use, my interests have moved back to cars. I still enjoy my system and I really would not change a thing except the old CRT. Time for a new flat panel. Here is a quick photo of the engine bay restoration. Happy Holidays to everyone here...

    My Home Cinema (noob version)

Good luck with your project. What I would have given to have had open walls to run all the electrical, lighting, switches, and AV wiring. Run more wire than you need. You just never know when you will that ethernet, phone, or component video cable.

    Garage Conversion Home Theater

Except now that I see the photos after construction, he oriented the room on the long wall when acoustically, the display should have been on the short wall.

    LED HDTV technology is stupendous!

I need to find my calibration DVD. I think I loaned it out. But, I think my Panasonic is starting to show its age and I agree that the older Panasonic's are probably not as good as the later models. But, having said that, LED technology tests I have seen show that they have generated the best...

    "His and Her Room!" Update

Thanks for saying so. We still enjoy the system every day. Our Christmas party was a success, in no small part to the audio system. Everyone brought their favorite CD's and concert DVD's. And, as usual, all of my musician friends brought their amps, guitars, and electronic drums. P.S...

    LED HDTV technology is stupendous!

Happy Holidays to you and yours Adam. I did not buy the new LED, my wife won it in a white elephant party at work. It is just a 32" RCA LED HDTV and it is sitting in the guest bedroom hooked up to a computer. It doubles as a computer monitor. Probably one of the cheapest LED's available but I am...

Home theatre - Plasma or LED better? Which is more suitable for my setup?

I agree that the room should be rotated to sit in the long direction. But i disagree about the plasma recommendation. I have a Panasonic Plasma and I thought it was the cat's meow but after acquiring a new LED for Christmas, there just is no comparison, especially when it comes to...

    LED HDTV technology is stupendous!

Well, it has been some time since I have acquired a new flat panel display. It is incredible. The contrast has to be the highlight of this technology. Some may not give a damn about this overlooked cornerstone of quality video but I have to say, it puts my Panasonic Plasma to shame. The details...

ALTEC LANSING MODEL 19, What are they worth.

I know this is a late response but I wonder what my Studio Monitor Valencia's would fetch in Asia? I might have to ask my Mandarin friend to find a way to advertise for me. If 19's went for $18K, these should go for at least $20-25K.

    New HT Room

I think most people have a hard time getting used to horn loaded speakers because of their extreme accuracy. On anything less than perfect sources, they can sound far less forgiving than direct radiating speakers most people grew up listening to. I have found that horn loaded speakers do not...

    The El Siberian Theater

There we go. It looks like you have everything you need to have a nice movie experience. A large screen and very good speakers. Looks like a third speaker stand is in order but I like that you have given them plenty of breathing room. Something lost on a lot of systems I see. Don't underestimate...

    KØRWW Media Room

I stopped giving advice a while back on this forum. No one wants to hear it and it always seems to come off as arrogance and people get all twisted. Enjoy your system and don't stop experimenting and learning. Thanks for sharing!!!!
