Seriously, I have no life.
There were 99 rockets fired only towards the city of Kyiv last night o_O
- First hand info

Videos of rescue workers carrying dead bodies out of demolished houses is too rough for me to post here
While this is happening the majority of the ruzzian population seem to be cheering and applauding and asking for more
How did the air defense do?

I am not sure about this, I have not seen very much info about this these days. Previously we seen more than 70% hit rate, but I believe ruzzians are employing some way faster missiles now, which makes this job insanely difficult.

The only real thing I seen now is destruction beyond comprehension .... this is completely insane, they are targeting large residential areas where there are only civilians. On purpose, the ruzzians kill as many civilians as they possibly can. Pure evil is not even close to cover what is happening.

This is the funeral of Hlib Fedyuk, who was killed by a ruzzian missile in Kherson on New Year’s Eve. He was 11 years old and loved playing piano.

The Turkish Parliament has this evening voted yes to approve Sweden's membership of NATO, as reported by the Swedish newspaper DN, and President Tayyip Erdogan is to sign the law later (expected in a few days).

What's left is for Hungary to approve as well, but their parliament will not convene until mid February.

Below is an article from Reuters from before the vote was completed.

Edit: Link from politico.eu that the Turkish Parliament has approved Swedish NATO membership:

>>>The Turkish parliament on Tuesday ratified Sweden's bid to join NATO, with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan now expected to sign it into law.

Turkey's move, which follows 20 months of diplomatic bargaining with Stockholm and Washington, leaves Hungary as the final NATO country yet to proceed with Sweden's bid to join the 31-member military alliance.

The ratification was adopted by the national assembly by a vote of 287 to 55.

Earlier on Tuesday, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán called for a meeting with his Swedish counterpart Ulf Kristersson and stressed the need for "strong mutual trust ... between Sweden and Hungary." Swedish Foreign Minister Tobias Billström declined negotiations, saying Stockholm would be open only to constructive dialogue.

Sweden applied to join in May 2022, after Russia's invasion of Ukraine prompted the Scandinavian country to drop its traditional neutrality.<<<

That is good news! Let's hope Hungary approves the inclusion without much delay.

Well, it is absolutely insane that one single person can block all of NATO and block the whole process of including Sweden into NATO, basically the Turkish president has a veto right and can easily block all democratic prcesses of doing whatever is right.

IMHO: The Turkish are completely out of line and showing how incredibly stupid and undemocratic country this is.

At last Turkey ratified Sweden’s NATO accession.

>>>Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan today signed into law Sweden's accession to NATO.

"Welcome Türkiye’s approval of the ratification of Sweden’s NATO accession," Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson tweeted. "With this, a key milestone has been reached in Sweden’s path towards NATO membership."

All NATO members, except Hungary, have ratified Sweden's application to join the military alliance, prompted by Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine.

Shortly before Erdoğan's move, U.S. Ambassador to Ankara Jeff Flake said he expected the rapid sale of F-16 fighter jets to Turkey.<<<

This is an interesting interview with "Karl" an Estonian military analyst. The gist of it is that Ukraine has improved it's air defense, but it will be difficult for Ukraine to ramp up it's own military production and Ukraine will likely start to lose territory due to Russia's numerical firepower advantage.

My impression was that Russia has been targeting civilians because they thought it would be more effective. According to Karl, Russia is targeting civilian areas because their missiles are too inaccurate to be effective against military targets.

Tucker Carlson have done an interview with Putin, and that could land Tucker in hot water given his earlier very pro-Putin commentary. Perhaps not that likely, though.

>>>Tucker Carlson's interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin could see the conservative pundit targeted by European Union lawmakers, current and former members of the European Parliament have told Newsweek.

Carlson visited Russia this week, and on Tuesday revealed he would "soon" be releasing an interview with the Russian leader.

Carlson's work in Russia could see the former Fox News host in hot water with the EU, Guy Verhofstadt, a former Belgian Prime Minister and current member of the European Parliament, told Newsweek.

The lawmaker—who has called for the EU to explore imposing a "travel ban" on Carlson—described Carlson as "a mouthpiece" of former President Donald Trump and Putin, adding: "As Putin is a war criminal and the EU sanctions all who assist him in that effort, it seems logical that the External Action Service examine his case as well." …<<<

I'm happier if I pretend Carlson doesn't exist.

Here's a video of a Bradly smoking a Russian T-90 in Ukraine. The T-90 is supposedly the best Russian main battle tank but it doesn't look very impressive in this video.

Here's a video of 2 Bradleys taking out a T-90.

I remember the huge controversy over the Bradley's effectiveness when it was being developed. Based on the videos I've seen it seems to be reasonably effective in Ukraine, at least at shorter ranges.

It looks like Ukraine just sunk another Russian ship using remote controlled bomb boats. Ukraine seems to be getting pretty good at this, and Russia appears to be learning very slowly, if at all.

Yes, unfortunately this is true.

The simple fact is that Ukraine needs long range AA to take out Russian aircraft before they can launch missiles and precision long range strike capabilities so they can take out the Russian aircraft on the ground. Unfortunately, the countries that have these capabilities are afraid of what Putin would do if Ukraine were to be supplied with these weapons.

I know Ukraine knows its a bad move, but send a few hundred rockets towards downtown Moscow and see how Putin reacts, after all it is WAR . Any stupid nuke move by Putin will put his whole country at risk and he then starts WWIII and nobody wins, not even his country.

They’ve been sending drones, though.
