Post MAXX Products Introduces TruVision Digital Video Processor

The MAXX TruVision digital video processor is the latest from a company providing some high-perfomance entries into the world of video display devices. The TruVision is the only video processor currently on the market to feature SDI, DVI, and RGBS inputs and also includes user-customizable output resolutions and Faroudja DCDi processing.

MAXX TruVision includes three SDI (serial digital interface) inputs as standard which allow zero picture quality loss as the video is transported from SDI-equipped DVD players/set-top-boxes to the video scaler/processor. SDI signals, commonly used in post production facilities and professional installations, can be transmitted over long distances without loss of quality, allowing increased installation flexibility.

Considering the processor also includes DVI output, a professional-quality, fully-digital signal path from the video source to the digital display device can be displayed. This kind of flexibility is something that we like to see in products and hope to be able to bring you more info on TruVision in the near future.

Anyone knows the price range for this? I'd assumed $5K or less?

    Default Where's the DVI

This video processor still presents the same problem. It has only one DVI input so you're out of luck if you have multiple DVI sources (DBS, cable, DVD) and wish to scale them through this processor. Does anyone know if there are processors with multiple DVI inputs, or would such a scaler be priced through the stratophere? Although important, this is not an absolutely essential peripheral because some projectors now have decent on board scalers. Worse, on some projectors, the internal scalers can't even be defeated, which would preclude an external processor.
