Zone 2 problem Onkyo HT-RC180

Strange things afoot with my zone 2 audio. I have a couple outdoor speakers wired to my zone two. In my main room I'm running 5.1. I have 4 devices running through my receiver 3 of which using hdmi. A dish network receiver, hd DVD player, blu ray player, and a Nintendo wii. I can play my dish receiver (hdmi) and my wii (RCA) through zone two without issue however, I can no longer get any audio out of zone 2 from my hd DVD or blu ray but both work flawlessly in the main room. What really bugs me about this is I stream pandora from the blu ray and that's the main thing I want to listen to outside. Any ideas?

Me thinks you have to have an analog signal to a zone-2 input.

Thanks but the dish receiver plays through zone 2 and its digital. Also I used to be able to play all sources through with zone until one day the blu ray and hd DVD stopped working outside.

Odd. The owner's manual specifically states in more than one place that only analog inputs can be played through Zone 2 and 3.

Still looking...

Okay gentlemen you were absolutely right. I have my dish receiver connected to the Onkyo via hdmi AND analog which explains it. Reconnected a couple rca's from the blu ray to the receiver and now I'm back in business. Thanks

Cool - glad it's working again (and that I'm not crazy :D)!

I tried to download the manual earlier, it got to a page or two and it just sat there.
